Bonachia Films is based out of Los Angeles, CA and was founded in 2018 by Luis Sanchez-Canete, a Hollywood and international Casting Director and Producer.

 

His passion for storytelling and collaborating with other filmmakers drove him to create a production company with a focus on developing characters and stories with unique journeys. Luis S. Canete, CSA is an LA based American casting director and producer that works in Los Angeles, New York and Europe. He is an active member of the Casting Society of America and the Television Academy (Emmys).

He has extensive training and experience in production and has worked on films such as Super Troopers, Knight & Day and The Cold Light of Day and produced video content for the Moving Pictures Video Lounge at the TriBeCa Film Festival. He is also proud to have recently written, directed and produced his first short film called Sad Sally's Peering Plan which is making its way through the international film festival circuit in 2023. Luis and team have partnered with Pollack Films to produce Honorary Male, a drag queen led comedy, starring Margaret Cho, David Burtka, James Hong, Amy Hill, Willam Belli and Bruce Davison slated to shoot in 2024. And a horror thriller titled Aideen starring Emma Dumont, to be filmed in Europe by the talented UK director, Brad Watson.

Luis has also worked as the International Casting Director for a European series called Glow & Darkness starring Jane Seymour, a feature called Remember Me with Bruce Dern and Brian Cox, did additional casting of; the film Duck Butter for Netflix, a mini series docudrama for the BBC titled Six Wives with Lucy Worsley, and a TV series for Disney called Evermoor.  Additionally, Luis and his team cast over 200+ principal roles between London and Spain for the English language RTVE mini series called Queens: Virgin & Martyr, now on Amazon Prime Video. Luis is also fortunate to have been the Casting Associate on the Oscar® nominated HBO Film, Maria Full of Grace.  During his start he worked with and learned from legendary casting directors such as Donna DeSeta, CSA, Maria E. Nelson, Ellyn Marshall & Carlyn Davis, CSA along with the iconic Central Casting in New York.

He holds a B.A. In Theater with a focus on acting & directing from George Mason University in Virginia, USA and studied Final Cut Pro editing at the Manhattan Edit Workshop. He currently lives in Los Angeles with his wonderful pup, Toby.

Lacy Daigle's journey in the entertainment industry began at the age of 5 as a commercial actress, igniting her lifelong passion for creative pursuits. After graduating from Vanderbilt University, Lacy has worked extensively in film and television, including a 15-year tenure as a Creative Director & Senior Producer at CBS, where she wrote, directed, and produced Special Projects and Industry Events for the Chairman.

Her expertise lies in leading large production teams, directing film shoots, and writing for top talent. Lacy has proven herself as a creative powerhouse, specializing in brainstorming, pitching, and delivering high-quality content on deadline, on budget, and on demand. She has been a team leader for multimillion-dollar events and productions, executive producing video content for live performances at Carnegie Hall and national television, including winning pitches for Super Bowl commercials. Her experience includes writing scripts and producing videos and live events featuring C-Suite Executives and industry icons like Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart, Stephen Colbert, John Malkovich, Anna Faris, LL Cool J, and Lin Manuel Miranda.

Lacy Daigle is now a sought-after mentor and professional coach, working with filmmakers, writers, creative professionals, and Fortune 500 executives. She is dedicated to giving back, having raised over 4 million dollars for charity through her documentary contributions to nonprofit causes.

Alan Green is British born but grew up in Germany and the Netherlands, but now is based in the USA. Having this international background made the decision of working across the globe an automatic choice. He has circumnavigated the world many times in his life to close deals and effect new relationships, nowhere is too far.

He began his career in the UK distribution business working at Major Studios such as 20th Century Fox and Pathé where he held positions such as Head of Marketing and Head of European Publicity and Promotions releasing Oscar winning and blockbuster titles such as Braveheart, Titanic, Star Wars, The X-Men, The World Is Not Enough, Terminator 2, Basic Instinct to name very few. Followed by working across various European markets for the same companies.

For the last 15 years, he transitioned his skills to International Film and Television Distribution, licensing TV and feature film rights to US and International buyers at all major markets around the world. With many awards to his name including being part of the Emmy Award Winning Team at FCCE for the production and distribution of the world’s first User-generated Movie by Paul Verhoeven in 2012.

Fluent in multiple languages, Green has distributed and developed hundreds of titles with budgets ranging from a few hundred thousand dollars to forty million dollars.

Alan Green

Amy Mäki is a screenwriter/producer & published poet. She was born in Louisville, Kentucky on Derby Day. She is of Finnish and Polish descent. Youngest of three, daughter of a traveling salesman and interior designer, her childhood home was full of story.

Her teenage years working in the world of thoroughbred racing provided fodder for several character-driven projects. This in combination with growing up in an alcoholic home is why she writes across genres with the shared theme of survival.

Mäki is a two-time finalist in Coppola's American Zoetrope Feature Screenplay Competition with ONE LAST SAVE and RUB THE SPEED and a two-time finalist in the Los Angeles International Screenplay Awards with STEAL THE WORDS and HONORARY MALE.

After film school, Mäki got her start in San Francisco, working as an online editor in TV News at CBS and NBC. During this time Mäki produced the PBS documentary AFTERMATH OF APARTHEID, based on her volunteer teaching experience in Johannesburg, South Africa. Mäki has also worked in hospitals, schools and for UPS as a loader and unloader. She draws inspiration from her working class background and is an IATSE Local 480 member. She has worked as a studio teacher on numerous productions such as: THOSE WHO WISH ME DEAD, THEM and DARK WINDS in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

Mäki holds a BS in Biology, a BA in Film, and an MFA in Screenwriting from the Institute of American Indian Arts, where she had the honor to workshop with writer Sherman Alexie (SMOKE SIGNALS). Her recent poem, 79 AD is published in (TART: Writers in the Attic, 2024).

She is the founder of OSFILMS, LLC which is an independent entertainment company specializing in writing and production of indie films and documentaries. Mäki is in collaboration on several feature film projects with Bonachia Films.
